Save money on tools, equipment and more…
John Hayes (Skills Minister) has set out his vision for the first all-age careers service in England.
Young people aged 13-19 and adults will be able to begin accessing new arrangements for careers guidance from September 2011. The service will be fully operational by April 2012. It will build on the best of Next Step and Connexions and provide a fully joined up service for all age groups for the first time.
Question:
Will this put more emphasis on schools to deliver additional careers advice... Are school teachers really the best people to provide this guidance?
Question:
Can a single, all age provision really support all age groups with good advice and guidance?

Apprentice Zone is dedicated to helping young people understand the opportunities available to them across the apprenticeship sector by providing information, guidance, advice and some fantastic ways to save money.
For many young people, the thought of continuing in full time education through a college or university is completely uninspiring.
Apprenticships provide a gateway to learn a trade, earn money and gain formal qualifications.
Apprentice Zone also provides a portal for commercial organisations to promote their products directly to school leavers.
